Maintain Your New Concrete

Clean and Seal
Sealing your concrete driveway will help avoid damage from frost/thaw cycles, UV rays and wear and tear. Occasional cleaning also helps to prolong the life of the concrete. Sealant should be re-applied every two years or so, depending on usage.

Tackle Stains Immediately
While sealant does a good job of preserving concrete, it’s important to remove oil, gasoline, grease and other spills with a pressure washer and the appropriate chemicals before they have a chance to do any damage.

Forget the Deicer
Deicers speed up the freeze and thaw cycle, and can end up causing more harm than good, especially during the first year of use. Try using sand or kitty litter for better traction instead.
